CREATURES ENGLISH COMIX.png

Between age 8 and 10. My Nanna even included girls’ comics (Bunty, Mandy, Tammy, et al), which I think were intended for my little sister. She never saw them. I devoured them too! Sorry, sis, when you read this.

  1. Only my Grandad, as I notice you illustrated your Nana’s parcel, wrote letters and addressed my birthday cards specifically to me with the title ‘Master’… Used to love that.

      1. It was always a thrill getting mail! I once signed up for a sample make up kit which sucked us in to buying kit after kit until we figured out how to cancel. It was awesome!

  2. This post brings back memories…When I was that age, during the summer months, my sister and I would go to the little Red and White store each week with our allowance. We could buy 2 comic books each. Our favourites included Millie the Model, Archie comics, Richie Rich, etc. We even had enough money left over to buy a few penny candies. Fifty cents went a long way back then! During the winter, fifty cents would get us into a movie, and get us a chocolate bar too.

    1. Lovely comment Candice!
My sis and I loved Archie digests. I would ruin hers by putting in my own captions. My comics of choice were never superhero type ones but I was always drawn to horror or humor. MAD or the Witching Hour lol.
