The Age of Anger

INSTA 0513 1.png

I become hyper articulate as I become angrier. Nobody wins in that scenario, believe me.  If you have ever had the pleasure of THAT coming at you, it is like a red cape to the bull. You are wrong and here’s why. Or I become UNarticulate, as my brain, aghast at the indignities and fueled with the righteousness of my argument, spins its wheels. Sigh. What works for YOU? If counting works for you – lucky for you, that’s seldom worked for me!

I am a Sansei, with two teens, and a hamster. This blog is a repository for ideas and observations, expressed in cartoon form, by and large. A bit of a journal too. Feel free to follow me on INSTAGRAM @ WILTOONS, (the Twitter for people who like to go out) where I post a journal comic. Thanks for dropping by! The pic is of me and my boy Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits. (not really a fan but he wanted his pic with me) © Wilton Sugiyama and Wiltoons, 2009 to 2020. 1. I’m usually able to control my response to the anger triggers in my life. I only remember “snapping” two times. Once when a hotel reservation service reserved our rooms at a hotel out by the airport instead of at the hotel where our son’s wedding reception was to be, and the other at a lazy co-worker who kept sloughing her work on to me. I try hard to remember that anyone can make a mistake, even me, so sometimes that helps me keep my cool.

    1. Sorry not getting to your well thought out comment, Candice. I blame Canada! My triggers are thoughtless rudeness and zombieing (walking down the sidewalk staring down at your phone). BTW when we were married, we had a similar problem: Delta had 2 hotels, we were booked with Delta Pacific for our reception. They mistakenly booked at Delta Airport! Hats off to mum, who sorted it out and put a flea in their ear!
