The germ of this one was the idea of having an abrupt eye exam that would suddenly ‘out’ you. There must be imposters among us, wearing glasses unnecessarily, looking erudite and distinguished.

I am a Sansei, with two teens, and a hamster. This blog is a repository for ideas and observations, expressed in cartoon form, by and large. A bit of a journal too. Feel free to follow me on INSTAGRAM @ WILTOONS, (the Twitter for people who like to go out) where I post a journal comic. Thanks for dropping by! 1. As a glasses-wearer for vision correction … I do not care if people wear them for fashion. In fact, that glasses have become fashionable is great because it means there are good glasses to buy and it’s considered totally normal and fine to wear them! I wish the same kind of thing would happen for canes or other accessibility devices.

    1. Lovely comment, Lucy. I am well chuffed at the improvement of my appearance upon wearing a good pair of fashion specs. I’ll add a beard and perhaps a jaunty walking stick to make myself completely unrecognizable. I can see the appeal of cosplay, though I have never partaken. Whatever makes you feel good, as long as it doesn’t harm others or yourself, well, who am i to judge? How about a monocle? Too soon after the death of Mr Peanut?
