Did this one BEFORE the pandemic. Now, EVERYONE seems to have a mask, which makes it difficult to know if you are being robbed, or simply conducting a normal banking transaction.

I am a Sansei, with two teens, and a hamster. This blog is a repository for ideas and observations, expressed in cartoon form, by and large. A bit of a journal too. Feel free to follow me on INSTAGRAM @ WILTOONS, (the Twitter for people who like to go out) where I post a journal comic. Thanks for dropping by! The pic is of me and my boy Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits. (not really a fan but he wanted his pic with me) © Wilton Sugiyama and Wiltoons, 2009 to 2020. 1. Same here. It is disheartening to see people lining up down the street (many of them seniors), even months after . Banks make huge profits – there is a disconnect there somewhere. Our bank is a credit union, so line ups, though long, are manageable. TD RBC BMO on the other hand, are constantly lined up – the fact is, seniors, like my parents, hate doing stuff online, by and large. (I cannot get my mother to text to his day.) I get it, though. There is a hesitancy to invite oneself in to this online world, predicated on convenience and expediency. The cost of this is too much to bear and some seniors would rather bear the brunt of good ol fashioned inconvenience. (ie paper bills) Right. I’ll shut up now. 😄

      1. Our credit union has tried to make things a little easier by giving me a night deposit key for the condo fees I collect as the board treasurer. Personally, I try to have direct deposit whenever possible. The most difficult thing is trying to cash a cheque!

  1. We run a little rural Post Office, Our guidelines for facial coverings, motorcycle helmets etc. are completely thrown out now! Just lucky we live where we do….
